Obama First Term Blog Entry # 1-'A Sense of Family is Throughout America Now'

As this is being written we are watching the inauguration events on television (ABC).

President Obama’s swearing in was flubbed by the Justice Roberts. And Senators Kennedy and Byrd took ill during a luncheon afterward.

As far as I know, those are the only negatives on this day.

The positives are many. There was an orderly transfer of power. There is a sense of full inclusion now for African Americans (of which I am one). A sense of family is present throughout America now. America has shown—once again—that it can transform beyond.

It is a wonderful day; the beginning of the multicultural-creative era.
